What Causes Flat Globules In Stool Of A 10 Year Old?
I just visited our doctor and she explained that the test results for my 10 year old daughter showed fat globules in her stools. She has been having on going tummy issues with diarrhoea for over a year, and she recently did a blood and stool test. The blood test was negative for coeliacs. We now have a specialist referral (gastroentorologist) but I just wanted to get an idea of what some of the causes of fat globules could be and a bit more info

Features of chronic malabsorption not associated with any other abnormality, possibility of Malrotation of Intetine strongly needs to be considered and ruled out.
Malrotation may or may not be associated with volvulus.
Would suggest you to consult Pediatric Surgeon for further management
