What Causes Flatulence After Food Intake?

hello. Unsure if I should go to see a doctor. I have been having uncontrollable and very uncomfortable flatulance after meals every day and now sharp pain at night below the waist on my right side. I had been constipated my whole life but now very regular bowel movements two or three times daily. I am 66 female. Any ideas?

Hello ma'am
I really appreciate your concern.

Flatulance might be related to indigestion, malabsorption and high protein intake, excess intake of carbonated or caffeinated beverages.

In my opinion you should take single dose of albendazole fir deworming.

Acidity and Acid peptic disease, liver or gall bladder disease and pancreatic insufficiencies might cause flatulance and gurgling sounds in abdomen.

So I would advise you to take antiacidity medicine like pantoprazole or ranitidine group of drugs

Have easily digestible food like fresh fruits and vegetables
Avoid smoking and carbonated drinks.
Avoid spicy and junk food.
Exercise regularly and try to reduce your body weight if you are obese or overweight.

Hope this helps you, if problem doesn't solve with these measures than you should see a gastroenterologist for an ultrasound or endoscopy if need be.

Hope I could answer your question, please feel free to ask for further clarification, I will happily answer you.
wishing you good health
