What Causes Flesh Colored Bumps On Base Of Tongue?
I am a 48 year old woman, 5 3 , 118 lbs and in good health. I have flesh colored bumps at the base of my tongue, it feels like something is stuck in my throat when I swallow and sometimes it feels like a popcorn husk. also very bad breathe comes with it. how do I get rid of this and what could it be?
Usually the posterior third of the tongue contain circum valate papille may appear like this. If they infected may appear enlarged. Other possibilities like glossitis or pharygitis may present like this.
Use salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablet amoxicillin and clavulinic acid 625 mg twice a day for five days. If symptoms not improved please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
