Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I have something fleshy sticking out of my anus. It is very small but is present all the time. Doesn t retract. I used to have constipation problem but not for the past one year. There is no blood or pain while defecating but the presence of this fleshy thing bothers me.
Hello I have gone through your question and understand your concern. From the description in the query the fleshy outgrowth appears to be what is called as Anal wart which is just similar to genital wart. It is usually caused by human papilloma virus in most cases the growth is contacted through sexual contact, auto-infection of from warts on other parts of body or a healed anal fissure in patients with constipation may appear like a fleshy outgrowth. Kindly see a physician to get examined after which treatment can be initiated. The treatment methods vary depending on patient condition and can be either ablative or topical agent. Thank you.
