Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
About once every month or less I get a feeling of my heart flip flop. I do not get a fast heart beat. I was put on Altenolol for anxiety/panic attacks.
When I get these flip flop then go into major panic attach. Had EKG/and echo, both normal, blood tests normal.
Flip flops or palpitations are very common. If you have had the symptoms evaluated and found no underlying heart disease or dangerous rhythm, the primary concern is to relieve your symptoms and anxiety. You may want to discuss treating the anxiety with your doctor. There are several, non habit forming alternatives available from a family of drugs called the SSRI's.
