What Causes Fluid Accumulation In Abdominal Cavity?

Hi, Plse help me ,as my Grand Mom is having a proble of fluid in her abdomen and that was 4.5 ltrs as doctor have taken out and they advised that she is having a Lever cancer plse help with the symptoms as ,in the test some mellitus cell or molecule was not found how can be this cancer ?? Pls ereply

Hi,

Liver malignancy may can cause fluid accumulation (ascitis) due to incresed portal pressure. Other possibilities like cirrhosis of liver or hypoproteinemia or abdominal tuberculosis or anemia or heart failure or any infection in abdominal cavity, etc. So it is better to consult your gastroentrologist or surgical Gastroentrologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
