What Causes Fluid Around A Lipoma In Stomach?

I ve been told I have a lipoma in my stomach. I believe I ve had it for 5 years but lately is seems to have grown and now seems to have some fluid around it and it has more sensitivity. I have an appointment with a dermotologist in 2 weeks. I m a 66 year old male in good health. I guess my concern is the possible leaking of the fluid and if waiting 2 weeks would cause a problem?

Greetings Sir. It's appreciable that you noticed that changes happened in you. It seems that you may have developed a cyst(a fluid fillled tissue cavity) and it is nothing to worry if it is painless and in anyway interfere with your routine life.
In meantime before your appointment with a dematologist, it's advisable you visit a General Surgeon and have yourself examined, in order to look out for any associated changes happening within you. Hope it was helpful.
