My daughter was complaining that it felt as if something was stuck in her throat. She coughed up a little blood and about an hour later she coughed up a pea sized flesh coloured ball . It looks like a small fluid filled cyst. She says that her throat feels better now. It this something we should be worried about and should I take her to our GP? My daughter is 20 years old. Many thanks. Lou-Anne
This ball could be a sign of local throat infection or food stuck in her throat. Anyway, I would recommend consulting with her doctor for a physical exam and a throat discharge bacterial culture for infection.
