What Causes Food Getting Stuck Inside Throat?

I had gastric bypass surgery about 3 years ago. Lately I m having food get stuck in my throat and cause difficulty getting it down. Today I had the same thing happen and it feels like the food went into my lungs. I keep getting a foamy substance come up my throat into my mouth. I have stuck my finger down my throat to cause vomitting to get the food out. Something came out but still feels like there s something there. Not sure if it went into my lungs.

Hi. You need an upper GI endoscopy to evaluate this. There may be an injury in the throat or a swelling that is leading to difficulty in swallowing and obstruction in the throat. See your physician.
