What Causes Food To Get Stuck In My Throat Forcing Me To Vomit?

Hi, i have a problem with food getting stuck in my throat. Whenever this happens i have to go to the bathroom and make myself sick in order to bring the food up, i cannot even get water to wash it down as there is no room for it. I suffer from fibromyalgia and was wondering if this was the cause of it.

Hello and welcome to
Healthcaremagic.com.
As you said there is a sudden blocking tendency to the food when you eat and you need to vomit the food.

It seems to me that can be because of esophageal spasm, esophageal mass or even chronic esophagitis.

You need to visit a Gastroenterologist and get an endoscopy done to get further evalvated.

During mean time you need to take small bolus of food while having meals.

Hope it will help you and you will write to us further if you feel needy.
Regards
Dr Muzaffar
