What Causes Foul Odor And Dark Brown Wax From Ears?
for at least over a year now, i had constant foul odor coming from my ear... as well as when I clean my ears with a q-tip, the cotton on the end will show a very dark brown wax on it... I can t get it to stop even with an alcohol, peroxide or vinegar mixture... when I was younger I did have tubes in my ears, and they were pulled out by me, so I had to have surgery to have them reinserted... what could this be?
Dark brown or black colored earwax is typically older, so its color comes from the dirt and bacteria it has trapped. Adults tend to have darker, harder earwax. Dark brown earwax that is tinged with red may signal a bleeding injury.
If you're symptomatic and getting repeated ear pain and fullness in ears means you may have to get reinsert gromet in ears. So please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and guide you weather you need or not. Avoid water entry into your ears while bathing. Avoid inserting objects or anything into ears.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
