What Causes Foul Smelling Urine?

I have a strong odor to my urin, I drink plenty of water but its always there when I go to the bathroom. it s not a diabetic smell as if i was spilling ketones. there is no pain either as if there was an infection, this has been going on for years, what can I do to get rid of the order?

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM. you should mention your age, gender, if there's a family history of diabetes, if you're on any medication as well. Anyway, you need to see a doctor at once. after examination, a urinalysis with urine culture will be done.certain blood tests like diabetic screening, serum creatinine and urea, with an ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis. you need to maintain drinking 8-10 glasses of fluids per day. In case you're an alcoholic, you should get a LFT (liver function test ) also done. further treatment will be decided, depending on reports.
