What Causes Frequent And Painful Urination?

About two days ago I woke up and when I went to go pee it hurt right after. It didn't hurt inside but it was right around where it comes out of. I didn't pay attention to it thinking it was a one time thing but now I have pain everytime I pee. I also have to pee more frequently. Sometimes I get an urge to pee and I will go and hardly any urine comes out. I also have noticed that sometimes there is a pink tinge on the toilet paper and in the toilet . I just had my period about 1 week ago. I am very irregular and will get discharge for days or a week or two later. So I don't know if it is related to that or my pee situation. Should I be concerned? I am starting a new job tomorrow and I would hate to have to take time off to go the doctor but I also worried about my health.
