Hello I just started a new job as a hospital patient transporter which may be related to the random small bruising on my right leg (mostly thy). Anyway they do not seem like normal bruises, they are not tender when I press on them and they they take several weeks to go away. There are no signs of this on my left leg. And I m starting to worried about clotting ect. Any ideas what this might be? Thanks for the help.
Hello, Thanks for the query. you might be having a low platelet count and hence you are developing these bruises. Get your platelet levels, bleeding and clotting time checked. Sometimes spontaneous bruising might be associated with dangerous systemic conditions. Usually it takes around 2 weeks for the bruise to heal, you can use oint thrombophobe to get a faster relief. A photograph would have helped me better. Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis. Let me know if you have any other doubt. you can ask a direct question to me on this forum, following the below link. http://www.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-rahul-kumar/64818 Wishing you a good health.
