I am 32 weeks pregnant and passout out in the shower. I did not fall on my stomach but this isnt the first time i've felt like passing out. When i told my OBGYN about my dizziness she told me it was common, but why am i dizzy all the time and passing out now? What is wrong with me?
You need to check your blood pressure. Particularly check your blood pressure in lying, sitting and standing position. Some pregnant women suffer from drop in blood pressure in changing positions (Postural Hypotension). Please request your obstetrician to check for this. Do you have cold shower or hot shower? Some times sudden change in temperature causes sudden low blood pressure and giddiness. If you are in a lying position before you go to shower, first turn on left side and then get up gradually to avoid postural hypotension.
Also get your blood sugar checked. May be you are having low blood sugar level.
Whatever the cause, please take care of yourself. Now onwards, inform some one before you get in the bathroom for shower.
I hope this guides you to some extent.
