What Causes Frequent Irregular And Missed Periods?

Hi. My cycle is very irregular and sometimes/often skips. This most likely occurs becuase I m overweight and I stress out very easily. My boyfriend and I have been using the pull out method and never ejaculates inside me. But I havent had my August or September period. Ive taken two pregnancy tests a week apart; both were negative. But I m still mortified that I mighg be pregnant. Why hasnt my period come yet?

Hello,

Pregnancy tests are pretty reliable these days. So really, if the tests are negative, you should not be pregnant. Many women are irregular, and for most women many things can affect your periods.

Certainly increase stress can affect, delay or stop your period. That said, the pull out method is pretty ineffective and you should consider some kind of birth control. Both to prevent pregnancy, but also to decrease you having to think and worry about it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Lisa Baker
