Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

If the baby is active and playful, feeding normally, passing urine 7times or more in a day, and the stool does not contain blood or mucus, nothing to be worried.

It is quite normal for new borns to have frequent stools during early months. This will come down gradually. Discontinuing any formula feeds and adhering to exclusive breast feeding might help a bit.

Also discontinue any indigenous/traditional medicines if any. Keep the perineum clean and dry and apply some diaper rash creams to avoid excoriation.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam TK
