What Causes Frequent Numbness In Both The Hands?

What causes fairly frequent numbness in both hands? I was diagnosed with mild carpal tunnel, but with therapy the numbness disappeared. I also have a problem in the cervical section of my spine, for which I've had cortisone shots & facet block treatments. Nothing has helped for more than a few weeks. My neck is worse now, with the numbness in my hands seeming to be correspondingly worse.

Hello,

Tingling and numbness in both hand may be due to two common causes
1. cervical disc herniation with nerve root compression
2. Carpel tunnel syndrome. You have got both and this adds to the severity of disease.
Diagnosis needs to be confirmed with:
1. MRI of the cervical spine
2. NCV study of both upper limbs. Both conditions need simultaneous attention and treatment to get relief. You need to consult neurophysician for detailed examination as to confirm which condition is more affecting you. Meanwhile start tab Pregalin one at bedtime.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
