What Causes Frequent Urge For Urination?

Ok so when I go to the bathroom like every 3-5 mins it feels like I have to pee really bad like there's pressure on my bladder , but when I pee it doesn't hurt or burn it just drips out a small bit .. And then when I wipe it's light pink .. I've already had my period a week ago.

Hello and thank you for asking HCM.

In my opinion this might be a case with urinary tract infection (UTI). This infection has some symptoms and the pressure on the bladder, or the urge of urinating, and than dropping a small amount of urine are the most common ones. The light pink that you notice when you wipe, means that probably there is a small amount of blood in your urine (another symptom of UTI)

If i were your doctor,i would do a urine culture to find the type of bacteria responsible of your infection (in most of the cases its escherichia coli) and start an antibiotic (fluoroquinolone family, ciprofloxacin ex) and NSAIDs like ibuprofen to relieve your symptoms.

No reason to be worried, because a UTI is easily treated with antibiotics these days.

I recommend you see your family doctor for the prescription of the antibiotics, and do a urine culture to confirm the diagnose.

Feel free to contact me any time.

Wishing you good health.
