Hello and thank you for asking HCM.
I have read your symptoms and i understand your concerns.
-frequently urinating a small amount, in a male patient at his 50s, whithout any other symptoms.
This correlates with an enlargment of your prostate probably. If i was your doctor i would do an
ultrasound of your prostate to see its volume and if it's enlarged i would do PSA (
blood test specific to prostate) and if needed a digital rect exam.
A specific symptom to the
enlarged prostate is waking up at night to urinate frequently.
So i advice you check up with a
urologist for the diagnosis.
-also there are some other probabilities like exessive amount of calcium in your urine,or stones in your bladder. The ultrasound even in this case would show us the presence of the stones in your bladder, and the urine test would show us the amount of calcium in urine.
-urine tract infection (less probable in your case) can be treated with antibiotics after the diagnosis is confirmed by a urine test.
