What Causes Frequent Urination And Burning Sensation In Thigh?

My son complained that for the past two days, he feels a burning sensation in the upper back of this thigh that comes and goes + he has the urge to urinate often and feels sometimes like he did in his pants but when he gets to the washroom, he s dry. He said it doesn t hurt when he urinates. Could it be psychological? we just found out he s got various anxianty symptoms including OCD which he doesn t believe he has.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

UTI can be possible without burning in many instances, the frequency and supportive facts are indicative of urinary infection and cystitis. I do not agree with the thinking of OCD.

He requires precise evaluation with urine microscopy for best possible treatment with urinary antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medicines and urinary alkaliser for best outcomes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
