Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Frequent Urination And Erectile Dysfunction?
I am a 63 year-old male so over the past few years, there have been occasions where I have had to get up 4-6 times a night to urinate because my bladder wouldn t empty, whereas my norm is more like 1-2. The bad nights were infrequent. Last Saturday I had an especially bad night and my difficulty with urination is not going away during the day, which is abnormal. Recently, I have also had some erectile problems for the first time. I am not running a fever. My last PSA a year ago was 3.8. My doctor cannot see me until the 16th. Should I try to get in sooner?

Urinary retention can be from whole host of problems. But most likely, your case is of Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy. It is advisable to get USG done, size of prostate assesses alongside retention, and start medication before infection sets in
