Hi,I am Dr. Andrew Rynne (Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My father(68 yrs) is taking urimax d at night for last 6months but in the night time he wakes up 5-6 times to urinate and feels an urge to pee many a times during bed time . The day time urination routine is normal, how can we reduce this frequency, is this caused because of urimax d? He is a patient of perkinsionism as well and lack of sleep due to frequent urination making things worse. Please advise. Blood sugar report is normal .
Hi, I appreciate your concern regarding your father. Urimax D has been prescribed for BPH. Night time frequent urination is certainly not due to Urimax D. In fact it is one of the main symptoms of enlarged prostate and as you already mentioned that your father's blood sugar report is normal, diabetes is out of question. So in my opinion the dosage will have to be adjusted or increased. Please talk to your nearby physician for further management. Thanks, Dr.Prabhas Verma
