What Causes Frequent Urination Of A 5 Year Old?

My five year old daughter has been going pee every half hour. Have never changed her diet nor anything different going on in her lifestyle. I asked her if it hurts or burns while she went and she old me no. Also I have looked at her urine and it is clear. What can it be? What can I do to help it? It's driving me crazy and it's scaring me.

Hello. Thank you for your question. Many times, this is just a temporary change in pattern that resolves on it's own. Sometimes, however, this could be the first sign of a urinary tract infection, even in the absence of pain. Additionally, it could be the presenting sign of diabetes. The fastest way to get the correct diagnosis is to consult with your doctor so a urine sample can be tested. Within minutes you will know what is going on.
