What Causes Frequent Urination, Pain In Belly Button And Blood In Urine?
Im a 45 year old male and this morning i started having a frequent urge to urinate every few minutes and little came out. This went on for hours. Also extreme pain just below my belly button (beltline). Two hours later there was a significant amount of blood in my urine. No other symptoms. The UTI test at immediate care showed not a urinary tract infection. They prescribed Cipro as a precaution and now 4 hours later, the blood is showing only at the end of the urine stream and I passed a clot for the first time just now. What could be going on? I have no kidney pain or vomiting or anything like that.
Hi, Thanks for asking. Based on your query, my opinion is as follows. 1. Possible bladder infection/cystitis leading on to pain at the level of belly button. 2. Do get a cystoscopy done to evaluate for any bladder inflammation. 3. Due to bladder inflammation, frequent urination due to bladder pressure and blood can be seen in urine. Do meet your urologist to get a cystoscopy done. Also look for increased pus cells and epithelial cells in urine microscopy. Hope it helps. Any further queries, happy to help again.
