My mother goes to the bathroom 98 times in a 24 hr. period . She has been to two different uro. doctors and an endro. doctor they come up with nothing. This has been going on for one year and she is 86 yrs. old I don t know how much longer she will last.
Based on the facts that you have posted your 86 years old mother has frequency for urination (90 times in 24 hours )
In elderly females there is generalized atrophy of genito urinary organs resulting into narrowing of urethral passage called as Senile Urethral Stenosis .This leads to incomplete emptying of bladder causing significant amount of urine to remain in bladder (Residual urine) .
This residual urine is source of infection giving rise to symptoms like frequency ,urgency etc .
She needs to get catheterized 3-4 times in a day to empty the bladder completely or can be catheterized with self retaining indwelling Foley catheter to have continuous drainage of the bladder supported by appropriate antibiotic cover .This will help to improve quality of her life at the age of 86 years ..
