Welcome to HCM. I understand your concern and I read your question carefully.
I would like to know the age of the girl. Let's suppose she is an adult. From the information you gave, like urgency of urination, burning sensation and stomach pain (i suppose below the belly button) it might be a beginning of lower
urinary tract infection. Today's practice is to delay the use of antibiotics for 24 hours, if the clinical picture allows it.
First of all I would advice to my patients to drink a lot of fluids to promote a dilute urine flow. If she has an intense burning sensation during urination i recommend using a bladder
analgesic like
phenazopyridine for 1-2 days and not anymore (if she is not allergic to
sulfa medication). The first line antibiotic treatment is
Bactrim (trimethoprim/sulfamethoxasole).
I think with the advises I gave you above she will be fine. But, in case that her symptoms persist or will get worse (especially if are associated with
fever), I recommend doing some workup:
urinalysis, urine culture,
ultrasound of the abdomen and kidneys.
I hope my answer was informative to you and I wish to the girl fast recovery. Best regards
