What Causes Frequent Urination?

Can bad posture possibly be a cause for frequent urination. I m often told I have bad posture, especially when sitting. The last year I have dealt with frequent urination problems and as you can imagine I m seriously tired of it. It has gotten progressively better and now instead of having to go every 30 seconds I can hold it for up to 2 hours. The confusing thing is that during the night I don t have to get up and really am in no hurry when I wake up in the mornings. This is why posture has come to my mind, because I hold better standing up and sleeping.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, a long term compression over the urinary sphincter via urogenital diaphragm ligaments and tendons can be a major cause of concern here.

Kindly get a uroflowmetry report done for the best management in this instance and prevent secondary damage to the kidneys.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
