hi i have a problem with peeing. over the past 6 month i have had an urge to pee more frequently. i have been tested for sti s and have been screened for a water infection. when peeing it normally used to last around 15-19 secounds. now it lasts 5 secounds each time i go. was just wondering wht can cause this.
I appreciate your observation, but it is not the brushing of your teeth that triggers your urge to pass urine.
Under normal circumstances, our brain exerts an inhibitory effect on our bladder since it might not be appropriate to pass urine anywhere and everywhere. Instead, it waits for the right opportunity.
While you are brushing, the brain automatically detects that the condition is favorable for voiding the collection that you already have in your bladder. Hence the urge to urinate arises.
There is a lot that goes on in our brain without our being aware. What you ask is just one such issue.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
