What Causes Frequent Vomitings And Diarrhea In 5 Year Old?

My five year old son has thrown up twice, yesterday and today, he has had diarrhea on going for several days. I noticed his last BM was creamy colored. He will not eat anything but is still throwing up and having continued bowel movements. This is not an isolated incident. This has happened several times before.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your 5 year old son, vomiting twice, yesterday and today, diarrhea going on for several days, last BM was creamy and has not eaten well and still throwing up, continued bowel movements. And this is recurrent.
Since this is a recurrent problem, it indicates that your son is suffering from something that needs a proper clinical evaluation, examination and investigations.
I would advise you to take him to the Pediatrician for the same.
Tests of blood, urine and stool.
Tests for Ultrasonography of the abdomen for lymph nodes in the mesentery, appendicitis and so on and to go for CT scan of abdomen if required to confirm.
A course of an antibiotic, metronidazole and so on must be given on empirical basis and as indicated as per the reports of investigations.
