What Causes Frequently Occurring Tender Bruise On Abdomen?

I have a bruise that randomly has been appearing on the same spot on my abdomen for the last couple months, it goes away but comes back. The most recent one looks awful and I have no idea how it got there. I know I didn t walk into anything that could have caused this bruise. Now there is a medium sized knot under the healing bruise. It hurts a lot if I touch it. Should I be concerned about this?
