What Causes Gastritis And Constipation After A Bypass Surgery?

I was paassed through By- pass sergery before 1 and half year. Since last one month iam facing stomach issue like gas - not relea and normal call for stool passing.I have startedFlauna since yeatrday. Feel little relaxed but still stool does not pass smoothly.

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Aspirin which is given as anti-platelet drug after a bypass surgery may cause gastritis. Take aspirin group of drug after meal .Antacid like PPI (proton pump inhibitor) e.g. pantoprazole 20-40 mg orally daily will reduce and prevent gastritis.
Restricted activity and bed rest following surgery may
reduce the bowel movement and cause constipation. Take high fibre diet. Stool softener like liquid Lactulose 30 ml at bed-time will help.
