Over the past week I ve had a general weakness, and shakiness in both my arms and legs. I also get tired more quickly than normal. I have also been experiencing hot flashes 3 - 4 times per day, sometimes I wake up during the night with them. Any idea what this might be ? Thank you.
Hi there, I have understood your concern and I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.
First of all do not panic. I could not get your age related information in the query.
But from the symptoms that you have mentioned, and if you are aging between 41 to 55 years, then your symptoms can be considered as perimenopausal symptoms if you are still getting your periods. If you have stopped getting your periods, then it can be considered as postmenopausal symptoms.
I will suggest you to adopt a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen. Including more fruits, salads and vegetables in the daily diet is advisable. Please avoid refined sugars, deep fried foods and bakery products. if needed please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for phytoestrogens. This all can help you to overcome the symptoms and mange yourself in a healthy manner.
I hope this answer helps you. Thanks. Dr. Purushottam Neurgaonkar.
