Hello and welcome to HCM! I read your post very carefullyy and understand why you are concerned. Gestational diabetes develops during pregnancy and in most cases it resolves after giving birth. It is unknown why some women develop this condition during pregnancy but some risk factors include overweight and obesity, family history of diabetes or elevated blood sugar level before pregnancy and increased age of mother (25 years or older). Gestational diabetes is a risk factor for developing Pregnancy induced hypertension (pre eclampsia) that can be life threatening if severe and left intreated. Usually these conditions resolve after giving birth. From what you shared I think that being obese is your major risk factor for these conditions. I calculated your body mass index BMI and it resulted 43 (morbidly obese)! If you also have a diabetic close relative than this increases your chances of gestational diabetes and pre eclampsia. Hope it helps!
