What Causes Giddiness After Waking Up In The Morning?
Hi Doc My husband has been priscribed Vertin16 for giddyness which he feels early in the morning when he wakes up. If he takes the tablet before sleeping then in the morning he is fine if not he feels dizzy. What is the matter? does he need any tests. He just had a fuul medical checkup done all reports are clear. Please advice. Thanks.Anima jain.
The commonest cause of early morning giddiness is in the inner ear wherein there is disbalance of fluid in the semicircular canals which causes giddiness due to disbalance of opposing semicircular canals. Hence I would advise you husband the following. ENT Check up for clinical evaluation, ENT Endoscopy. MRI of the brain and Mastoids for semicircular canals. Another reason can be cervical spondilitis and get investigated in this angle too so that a proper diagnosis can be done and treated accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
