Hello dear user!
Thank you for sharing your concerns
with us on HealthcareMagic!
Yes, there are cases when one partner or both may be asymptomatic (especially men), even thought they are infected by a
STD. They may have different symptoms that are not easily diagnosed, and they can be easily confused with other conditions. For example, women may have
back pain,
bleeding between periods, etc, instead of itching, discharge, pain or burning during urination, etc.
If you are not sure and doubtful about your diagnose, you can do that test again. It is important that the medication to be taken by both partners in the same time, and no sex or protected sex while on medication.
I suggest you to take the medication as it is prescribed by your doctor, talk with your partner for cooperating in this process.
Take care and I hope you will be fine!
Best regards!
DR ERIOL.
