What Causes Goosh Like Sound With Each Beat Of My Heart?
Hi, I am a 49 yr old female and I started hearing what I think is the blood flow or a combination of that and my heart beat in my head/ears about 2 years ago. It is a gooosh, gooosh, gooosh sound with each beat of my heart and can be very loud. Recently as in about 3 months ago I started to get clogged up feeling ears for no apparent reason that I can t clear up it just goes and comes. any ideas?
You have not mentioned any past illness or cardiac problem. Since you are not comfortable with the sounds with each heart beat, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a cardiologist to rule out any cardiovascular disease developing like hypertension, arrhythmia, mitral valve regurgitation, etc.
You will have to go through CBC, urinalysis, lipid function tests and imaging tests. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected. You should get clinically examined by an ENT and get your ears examined to detect any embedded ear wax, infection or any pathology causing tinnitus. Your treating doctor may ask you to get audiometry test and few other tests done. Your treatment will depend on the pathology detected and your clinical condition.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
