I noticed a greyish spot on the side of my tongue, right where my back teeth bite down. Its also right where my tongue hits my teeth. I first noticed it couple days ago after night of drinking alot of whiskey. The pain was on both sides in same area. However one side pain went away and the other still kinda there , not as much pain but the lil spot still there. It looks like the lil white bump you d get on the end of your tongue , so I dabbed it with peroxide which seemed to make the pain stop . Does this sound like something to be concerned about. ? It s been almost 4 days.
Read your query as you have grayish spot on tongue this can be due to sharp cusps of posterior teeth causing irritation on tongue or grayish spot on tongue can be dueto white lesion like leukoplakia , lichen planus .
Dont be worried so much I will suggest you to consult oral surgeon for examination of tongue if you have sharp cups then go for grinding of cusps . Inmeantime do maintain proper oral hygiene , use tongue cleaner to clean your tongue .
Hope this will help you.
