What Causes Green/black Tarry Stools During Pregnancy?

I am 37 weeks pregnant and for the last week/week and a half Ive been having lots of bowel changes. Since I was young Ive had chronic constipation. But now, my movements have been easy and started very green in color. Now they are still easy to pass, but a darker green/black in color and tarry. Is this normal? Does it indicate a problem with pregnancy? Is my baby ok?
