What Causes Green Discolouration On Tongue With Halitosis?

A couple of months ago I had a fuzzy tongue (green) and bad breath. It was treated and I don't have that now but I became aware of a burning sensation in my nostrils which are dry and sore (especially right side). This burning sensation seems more obvious at night and it then seems to go up my tear ducts and stings the corner of my eye. Today I started having short and mild earaches so I'm concerned that whatever this is it is progressing. I'm baffled. I'm male and 60. Jack

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain burning sensation inside the nostrils can be due to a number of causes like Allergic Rhinits, Sinusitis, Rhinitis Medicamentosa [ due to excess use of nasal sprays],nasal infection and inflammation, foreign body in nostrils, chemical fume inhalations etc..
Pain in ears can be due to ear infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and nasal endoscopy and otoscopy of ears can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
As of now you can do cool compresses over the nose..
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Avoid picking the nose or using nasal sprays..For ear ache Ibuprofen will help and in case infection will be diagnosed you will be advised antibiotics and steroids..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
