I have been taking Topiramate for 7 weeks now for migraines. I had been taking 50mg a day for 6 weeks and then my doctor increased it to 100mg a day. Ever since I started taking it I have had light green pieces in my urine. I know they aren t kidney stones because the pieces are soft. I have had kidney stones in the past. These pieces aren t very painful, but they do feel a bit weird as they come out. I m just wondering what they could be. I am also wondering if it is normal to lose a lot of weight with Topiramate because so far I have already lost 10lbs. I am 22 and weigh about 125lbs.
Respected user, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly. * Green color urine - condition characterised by markedly increased verdohemoglobin in the urine, which fluoresces with UV light,a sign of fulminant Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection & is not related to drug intake. * Weight loss is acceptable side effect with Topiramate , so discuss with your doctor to change the molecule & consult with expert Urologist to get urine culture & get proper management of green urine . Hope this helps you. Welcome for any further query. Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.com & giving me an opportunity to assist you. Wishing you fine recovery from the same. Regards dear take care.
