What Causes Green Stool?

Experiencing green stool today. It is not loose. I typically do not have diarrhea. Have not had this symptom before. Had a squamous cell carcinoma removed from my hand yesterday and took tylenol for the pain. Other than than there has been no unusual activity.

Hi thanks for asking question.
As such green tinge in stool not always pathological....

Excess green leafy vegetables like brococcoli or spinach can give stool green colour as they are having more green pigments.

If you are taking iron supplements then also this colour can change

If diarrhea is present then food passes rapidly through digestive tract and so enzymes that help in digestion may not act properly as food pass rapidly. At that time unutilised bile can give green colour....

Don't worry.
If green colour continue for few days then stool examination and culture done.

Take care....
