What Causes Green Stools In A Child While On Zyrtec?

hi there--my 2 and 1/2 year old son has been on zyrtec to try and control constant runny nose for past 2 months--he has had a slightly congested cough the whole time (but only when you would ask him to cough) which has now progressed to having cough during day, increased runny nose and a temp up to 101.9auxilla and dark greenish soft stools the past day. will take him to see Dr tomorrow but wondering what causes the green poop?

Hi,

Such type of stool is common during respiratory infections which he is suffering now. It will resolve along with the infection. Nothing to worry.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
