What Causes Greenish Rectal Discharge?

Hello, I m having a neon green colored discharge from the anal area when I wipe? I am pregnant and taking prenatal vitamins. This color is so bright and neon, doesn t look like it could possibly come out of someone s body? Looks almost like antifreeze! Any suggestions?? Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Greenish discharge could be secondary to infections or increased green leafy vegetables intake.
2. Also increased motility along with increased colonic mucosal secretions, could have given it greenish rectal discharge.
3. Take probiotics and yogurt. It should improve your gut bacteria. Take good amount of water and continue with vitamins and other medications, as prescribed.
4. If it repeats or continues for another 2-3 days, then get a stool examination done. Meet your doctor for tests.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
