Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My Daughter, who is three, has been having pale to grey colored stools for the past month. She does not have complaints of pain or nausea and has a fairly healthy appetite considering her age. She usually only has one to two glasses of milk a day. Is this a common occurrence in children?
Passing of stool with grey color and or pale, grey color may not be due to any disease but it could be due to some diet taken. If no other symptoms are there then it is nothing to worry just different color of stool is not indication of any illness. If person is healthy and if want to clear the doubt then stool needs to be sent for the lab test that is the only option you have.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
