The most common cause of exessive hair (hyperandrogenism) is policystic ovary syndrome. It is often associated with irregular menstrual cycle.
To confirm the diagnosis you need;
-Ultrasound of the ovaries
-Testosterone level
-DHEAS
-17 OH progresterone.
