What Causes Hair Loss, Depression, Mood Swings, Breast Tenderness And Weight Gain?
Hi my friend is having some problems, she is very depressed and is now worrying a lot. Her symptoms are hair loss, depression, mood swings, breast tenderness and weight gain. She is on the depo contraceptive injection, and was only sexually active a few months ago where the male pulled out and she was on the injection and has been for a good few years. She has had blood tests and is awaiting the results and is now worrying about pregnancy. However it sounds more like a thyroid condition as the Depo Injection has side effects listed above, her mother also has a thyroid problem so maybe its inherited? Thanks

In my opinion both hypothyroidism and depo injection can show those symptoms
I recommend TSH, T3,,T4 tests
by the way Depo injection can delay pregnany more than it should
