What Causes Hair Loss, Scalp Redness And Itchiness?

thanks. I have a scalp condition where I am loosing my hair. I have had a prescription of el adel that I have used over a year and the condition remains so my dermatologist has prescribed this medicaton. When I wash my hair my scalp turns bright red and has itchy bumps. Can this med possibly help?

Hi.
As per your case history you are having scalp folliculitis, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Don't apply hair oil for at least 3 weeks.
3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on affected part.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like doxycyline, levofloxacin and oral antifungals like fluconazole taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
