Hi,
Although I am not a specialist for MGUS, I can give you a few hints as to how I would proceed: MGUS can progress to more serious diseases, like
multiple myeloma. The tingling in hands or feet and nerve symptoms and
dizziness can be related to the disease. Also the
bone pain sounds like there is something going on within the
bone marrow. Did you have a bone marrow biopsy? And/or CT or MRI scan of the aching bones? Do you have high blood calcium levels? You should also be checked for
osteoporosis, if it is not done yet.
The hair loss can be a sign of inflammation from the disease, stress because of disease or altered hormone levels. Depending on how severe it is, it could be treated with topical hormonal or anti-inflammatory treatment.I hope this may help you to go in the right direction from here. You might need a more aggressive treatment as determined by a
hematologist or
endocrinologist or both.
If I were you, I would make sure to eat a healthy diet high in organic vegetables and add a supplement, especially I am thinking of curcumin (the ingredient in turmeric), in its bio-available form. I would be interested in learning how it all turns out. Please keep me posted.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Christine Sauer
