My hair is thinning, I have lost 20 lbs. I have been on Synthroid for many years ( I had a nodule removed from my thyroid in 1972). My doctor had my TSH levels drawn and said my levels are in the normal range, 1.050. I was wondering if I should ask her to have a T4 and T3 test - I am concerned about my hair. My skin is very dry, have some constipation problems. ANy suggestions?
According to your tsh levels, your thyroid functions are presently normal. You might am loosing hair due to stress. Apply a topical steroid lotion over the scalp daily at once. Take oral biotin supplements. Take a good vitamin rich diet. Avoid stress.. I am sure it will help you.
